Exposure BoostR + ReAKT & Peloton Mk2 - Most Intelligent Rear Light

A smart rear light that actively responds to its environment, increasing brightness when braking and being courteous to fellow riders, setting a new standard for interactive safety.
- +ReAKT technology automatically brightens to 120 lumens upon braking for enhanced safety
- +Peloton mode dims the light when it senses another rider's headlight behind to prevent dazzling
- +DayBright pulse mode provides high visibility in daytime conditions with excellent side visibility
- -The rubber strap mount can detach from the plastic base when not under tension, risking loss
- -The button and charging port cover feel somewhat flimsy compared to the light's premium price
- -Maximum constant output is 80 lumens, which is lower than some competitor 'daylight' models
The Exposure BoostR + ReAKT & Peloton Mk2 elevates the rear light from a passive beacon to an active safety partner. Its core intelligence lies in two systems: ReAKT and Peloton. ReAKT uses an accelerometer to detect deceleration, flaring the light to a bright 120 lumens to alert following traffic that the rider is slowing down, a critical function in low-visibility conditions. Conversely, Peloton mode uses a light sensor to detect the headlight of a cyclist approaching from behind, automatically dimming the BoostR to avoid blinding them—an exceptionally thoughtful feature for group rides. The light itself is brilliantly visible, with a wrap-around lens that provides 270 degrees of illumination.
It offers six modes, including a highly effective DayBright pulse, with runtimes ranging from 6 hours on high constant to 48 hours on low flash. Build quality is generally high with a CNC-machined aluminum body, and it now features USB-C charging. The mount, however, is a point of weakness; the thick rubber strap does not securely clip to the mount when not installed, making it easy to misplace. For road cyclists, commuters, and group riders who value smart, context-aware visibility and are willing to invest in cutting-edge rear light technology, the BoostR offers a significant and potentially life-saving advantage over conventional lights.
